Part I : I didn't know you could do THAT in Mexico City...
Want to read the CIA's Mail? Or the White House's? You're gonna need one of these circuits from the middle of Janek's Black Box. The original prop was clearly an assemblage of real electronic parts, some covered in shiny tape, but not an actual circuit. So the first effort is to identify the package styles of the electronic components they used. I started that process over in This Thread but I'll post the image again here.
Most of these guesses have worked out :
A few more parts left to track down, and then it'll be time to make the PCB! I'll naturally make those design files and bill of materials available once they're proven out. Iridescent holo-tape is coming this week, as well.
