I know how you guys always get on my case about not taking outdoor photos... tomorrow I promise, I couldn't hold back at least one shot of this Before tomorrow.I got a new camera from my wife and wanted to try it out indoors. Hope you like him. I just finished him for a client.

That looks great Steve, but if you are going to take pictures of your paintjobs inside, NEVER use flash.
Everything gets so pail and there will be no live feeling in it, if you know what I mean.

Also, when photographing a bust or a replica, you need to work around the room with lights and take a few test shots.
Next time, I think you should wait another day before you post, until you have taken the best photos.

I am looking forward to that ;)

GEEZ BJORN.. I thought I put that in the disclaimer about my photography... can't you EVER not criticize????? :) I don't have lights that I can move around and I'm not a pro photographer. I did take several pics withouth the flash indoors but the photos look grainy. I said I would take outdoor pics today.. In fact I'm heading out right now to do it...

Steve has a great feel for each Bust he airbrushes, he captures the correct skin tone for that Character. I still cant get over the T2 Bust he did for me.

Man, I had to comment again - that's great work Steve. Outdoor shots look even better.

It's hard to do wrong by that sculpt though, easily one of the best Reeve sculpts to date. Your client should be really pleased.

Great paint man.

I did notice something wierd about the piece though.... the eyes are off. they're a little large for the bust overall. there also seems to be a bit missing from the outside corners of both eyes. Forgive me for fogetting what the anatomical term for the area is, but I've colored in the area I'm talking about in red ...

Paint looks great though..

EDIT: spelling

I agree. The eyes look a little off to me as well. They're almost too big.

Well, the next size eye smaller which I usually use on Howard's bust always looked too small to me on Reeve.I usually use 28mm, this time I used 30mm. I went with the next size larger, it actually filled the eye socket holes better. It's your eyes playing tricks with the spaces on the ends, it's just shadows and where the eyelashes meet the corners. The ball touches the ends, I assure you there are no gaps.

WOW. fantastic paint jobs. Christopher Reeve looks great, I dont like the molded Hair. Arnie is fantastic looking with the real Hair If I didnt see the Hand holding the Bust in the first shot It could pass for the real thing, and the Skin tone is outrageous.
