Smurfs

Holy smurf up a smurfs smurf.

Why can't they actually try to recreate one of these toons the way the show was?

Why aren't they in a village in the woods? Like centuries ago? Why does it always have to be set in todays time in a city?

Why must my childhood be trashed. I am glad that the Smurfs are getting attention and that Jonathan Winters is doing Papa Smurfs voice. Why drag them into the city with Doogy Houser.

Want to be the outtakes of Winters during the audio recording would be 1000 times more entertaining than the movie?

The Smurfs themselves look great! It's the magical kingdom far away during the medieval times in ............Present day New York! :unsure

Seriously a movie version of the cartoon would be so much better!

Did I just hear "smurfabunga"? ...
Yeah, that might have been a fun reference in 1990. :thumbsdown

Will Neil Patrick Harris in the future look upon this movie as a low point in his career?

Apparantly they get chsed into a forbidden cave, yadda yadda yadda, and end up in modern New York.

Sigh. Azaria looks great as Gargamel. And NPH is always funny. Doesn't mean I'm gonna see it, though.

And why is the Scottish smurf (how do you even get different accents in a single smurf village?!?) wearing little smurf pants AND a kilt? That's both redundant and superfluous.
