"Smokey and the Bandit" Props

Nice work with the pop top lid Adam, they are not easy to find, wanted one for my Alien beer can.

They played all three movies on tv here recently, cool.
Maybe you could go down the "smokey" path. B T Justice has some nice pins, badges and medals for a start and maybe some stuff from all
the other agencies involved in the chase. I love the vintage police lights used in the three movies.

yea, i'd get one of those style stars buford had, and bend it up like the bulldog did in bandit 2.
also, you could also make up a marksmanship award from swollen groin texas.

I might have missed it in an earlier post - but if I didn't Year One has started Burt Reynolds Edition Trans Ams.....only $130k :-(

Year One

I got home from work tonight to find a surprise waiting for me. I received an autographed picture of Burt Reynolds in the mail from a very generous friend who shall remain nameless...(aww, what the hell...It was Alan Castillo !!! :)) Thank-you very much Alan! It'll look awesome in the middle of my Smokey and the Bandit collection. (By the way, I still need a Trans-Am if you are so inclined. :cool) Seriously though, thanks a lot man. Your generosity is very much appreciated! :thumbsup

This would look cool in your new home theatre too :cool

I had already asked about the Transam. But it had a scratch on it, so it was no good :lol

Hey guys, just a shameless plug here... Due to me recently losing my job, I'm going to have to sell a few of my props, including my beloved Smokey and the Bandit collection. :cry (Oh well, that's life sometimes, right?) I know that there's probably not a lot of you guys out there who are as nuts about the movie as I am, but I thought it still wouldn't hurt to let you know just in case. If you have any questions, just let me know. Thanks! :):thumbsup

P.S. Don't worry Alan. I'm still keeping the autographed Burt Reynolds photo. Some things are more valuable than money. :thumbsup (Plus my wife likes his mustache. :D)

Very sorry to hear about your circumstances and letting go your unique Smokey collection Adam, if i wasnt overstretched as it is id buy the whole lot from you. Hope the sales go well and all the best for the future.
Tim.

Adam, I wish I could begin to describe how sad this news makes me buddy.

These are the moments that make me wish I were a millionaire.

Hang on in there Adam, it will get better :)

Tim and Alan. Thank-you gentlemen, I appreciate that. Such is life sometimes, right? I've been in worse spots before, and I'm sure that I will again. Things always get better eventually. :)

I know its an old thread but I'm bringing this one back from the dead since its one of my all time favorite movies!

I know it wasn't in the movie, but here is a matchbook from the actual restaurant chain that they filmed the "choke and puke" scene in, "The Old Hickory House"...

Also, for accuracy buffs, they weren't Coors cans, they were glass bottles, as can be seen printed on the boxes at the warehouse they load from. I got a correct bottle cap from the bottle that would have been used in that year as well. It would be this design, with a plastic lined inside, not cork:

For some screen used replicas, I found the exact models of watches that both Bandit and Snowman wore in the film. Bandits was a Timex diver with a custom one-off Navajo indian metal and turquiose stone band. These can usually be found created by the indians on reservations for tourists etc.I dont have a band for mine however...

Snowmans watch is also a Timex, with a really neat purpleish metallic face:

Wow! Those are some very cool prop ideas! (Especially the watches. I never would've thought of that.) Very nice! :thumbsup

Adam, did you sell off all your S&TB props? I'm on the hunt for those patches, especially the "truckers do it best" one...

Yeah, unfortunately I had to sell off the whole collection a few years ago. The only "Smokey and the Bandit" related item that I still have in my collection is the autographed Burt Reynolds 8"x10" photo that was a gift from Alan Castillo. The patch pops up on eBay occasionally. You just have to keep your eye out for it. If I ever come across one again I'll be sure to give you a heads up.
