It's been quite a while but I have now designed and 3D printed the rest of the underside parts for 'Prisoner With A Job 1'. WORKING ROTATING COCKPIT

Hi guys, after your encouragement and a few beers I have re-built my Slave 1 cockpit to make it actually rotate! You can see the build video HERE on my YouTube channel. The explanation of my concept is below. Hope you like it.

This is the landing / take off position for the flight deck.

The flight deck rotates 180 degrees.

The unit then tilts back 90 degrees for flight

Here's the cockpit unit inserted into the main hull in the landing position.

An overall shot with the vac formed canopy. Now I have to start work on the tail and bond everything together before detailing the outside.

3D PRINTING COMPLETE

I have now finished all the 3D printing for my studio scale 'Slave 1'. Now it's on to adding some finer detail and then paint. You can see more on my latest progress HERE on my YouTube channel.
I will be re-designing the rest of Slave 1 in due course and the files will be available for the entire model.

Thanks for the support guys, the painting is going well but taking time to get the colours right. I'm using Archive-X paints and weathering with oils. Here's a taste of what's to come...

Is there something you cannot do? Wow...paint job is A+ for sure I guess you'll add the oil streaks on the pistons also?
