The fact that he made it with the flange built in for lining up the back is pretty awesome. Makes it soo much easierLooks awesome!!

Well good thing i didnt say 100% [emoji12] thanks!!I actually never said the size.. just a allen head bolt/screw I grabbed out of a bin that fit. I just measured it.. about 6.5mm across the head of it.. or 1/4"
This looks so great. You should definitely do a paint write up thread!Wanted to share a quick review and some progress of the almost finished kit.

the picture above shows all the greeblies for the kit, the details are pretty amazing, rocketeer didn't cut any corners on the kit. all the breather tubes and braided hose ends
all fit perfectly with the area they are supposed to go. The kit is easy to assemble and in the pictures below you can see how well everything fits together.
Painting was easy, washed the kit in soapy water after everything was trimmed and i hit it with a black primer
then put on my colors. (might do a write up for paint if people are curious, i don't want to do that in this thread as it's not my thread.)

I also purchased the led eye kit and didn't use a risu kit that i had from a previous unfinished kit. I'm glad i went with rockets because you can see
below, the lens and housing fit perfectly. (i didn't remove the protective film on the lens yet, nor wired anything up yet.)

I have purchased many different kits in the past and this was the easiest to finish, hands down. If anyone is on the fence about purchasing, i would
highly recommend this kit. And not to mention this is screen accurate
Sorry for hijacking the thread rocket
I received my helmet today and sad to say it was a little heat formed inside the box. the back piece was crammed into the faceplate and it bent a certain way. Easy fix, I took my heat gun and attempted to reshape the back and one of the side pieces snapped off. Is there any way anybody could maybe help me fix this? I want to attach the piece and fill the crack with bondo and reinforce the back with a bit of fiberglass. Is there any fix anyone can recommend? I'm a little desperate at this point. That won't be too bad of a fix....use 5 min expoy in order to glue the pieces back together, use clamps or anything to hold it in place. wait a couple hours or overnight and
then sand any leftover epoxy.
coat the inside and outside seam line (where it broke) with fiberglass resin. and lay down at least two layers of fiberglass cloth on the inside of it. once it is laid on top of the resin, coat the cloth in resin. allow to dry and then sand any sharp edges... this should be plenty of reinforcement
let me know if you have any questions
