Did you try wrapping the braided hose in tape, then cutting it with a dremel? Because that's how I'm going to try to cut it, and I don't want to try to reinvent the wheel if you've already tried it.

Yeah, braided hose sucks to cut - it always frays. When I cut mine for my R2 I cut it a little longer than I needed then shoved a peice of foam in it to act as a plug, then filled the last half inch with resin. One it cured, I sanded the end smooth. It worked okay, but then again, I was putting the end into a hose fitting, so the very end was covered, anyway. The hose caps your making are probably flat and not recessed to actually insert the tube into, I'm assuming.
All that fancy stuff being said - I am totally fine with resin cast hoses for this project

Although molding the braided hoses might be a hassle, as I imagine the silicone will seep into the little wires and braiding and tear when demold ing. Will be interesting to see how they turn out.

If he gives it a thin coat of superglue first, to fill in the deep recesses, it should keep that from happening.

Hi... I'm interested in the 2nd run.
I admit I haven't read the entire thread. Rather than go back through 5 pages, for my own info and also anyone else who comes looking - What's the deposit requirement, when is delivery, and final price?
