I wasn't super happy with the texture created on the gauntlet, the divots were too far apart. I decided to take the time to make the pattern tighter on the handplates and I really love they way they are coming together. Here's the dry fit of the bottom, outside, and 80% trimmed detail piece.
And the pattern post-weld. The edges were welded, ground down, and then reheated with the torch to make the dull finish uniform.
