Hey guys, long time lurker, first time builder and poster.
Im producing an upcoming Skyrim fan series and Ive decided to teach myself a bit of prop building(mostly thanks to Volpin).
I pretty much followed all the usual steps for this type of helmet, almost identical to Volpins Nord Helmet and Helm of Yngol replicas.
This is the first thing I have ever built. It aint perfect but Im really happy with what Ive got so far. And sorry for the lame instagram filters, my SD card with the clean pictures crapped out on me.
I ended up scaling it down after I got the foam in place. It was way to large.
I decided to purchase some real sheep horns. Since this is for a movie, certain details become obvious on high res cameras. Real horns looks much better in this case.
The ears here are a little wonky so I ended up evening them out a bit before I did the silicone
Next up is a plastipaste shell and then some cold casting with iron powder.
