It's based on the 44 special charter arms revolver (well, it's based on Rich's blaster which is based on a charter arms) but a 44 magnum would probably be too long.

ok thanks, theres a seller here in the UK who sells inert rounds in most calibres though nothing came up for charter arms, the only other rounds i could find were for a 44 S&W

I have seen "dummy" rounds offered for the BR blaster but they seem to have a hole drilled in the side of the casing which im not too keen on, as apart from having rounds in the cylinder i want a couple next to the gun in a display.

hi m8

I have .44 mag, and .44 rem mag cases and also the slight shorter .44 S&W special, (the cowboy gun ones) However I don't know if they have just normal bullets in them, or something made for the film.

thanks for the reply Don, i dont have a clue which if any of those would fit, or not :confused thinking about it, what might be best, is if i just wait for the postman to deliver it so as i can get some measurements of the "holes"

unless someone who owns the sidkit and has bought some inert rounds can offer some advice ????

cheers

Yep i just picked up a kit a few weeks back and had a local reloader make up a set of dummy rounds, 44 special hollowpoint. They look great. Ill turn up on the lathe some brass false primers to complete them. I had 36 made which is many more than i need so if anyone wants PM me if youre here in the states.

The rounds with the holes in them are being made for the MIM blaster which is built for .38 or .357 rounds. It's based on a different gun than the SId and RAC's are.

Just for those who do not know. The Sidkit comes with cast metal dummy rounds also in the same white pewter/tin as the gun.

Just thought i would post an update regarding my original question asking what size rounds would fit the Sidkit BR blaster, in case the info is of use to anyone else looking at building this gun, well i bought a set of 6 inert .44 magnum rounds off a seller on Ebay for £8.00 (before i received the BR kit :rolleyes )

and they are a perfect fit :cool

Now the fun part :eek

cheers
