Sith Stalker WIP

Being a mad lover of the Force Unleashed game and seeing the amazing armour that Rob from 'My wicked armour' had made I felt inspired to make my own version.
I purchased a helmet off of Rob as it was very reasonably priced. Basically I couldn't make it myself for any less and his looked superb in the photos.

I was very pleased on recieving the helmet but I decided to give it a few tweeks as I wanted to upgrade it a bit. Plus Rob is a good bit smaller than me so I had to enlarge certain bits. So within 10 mins I had it stripped down and ghost coated it with primer to see what needed doing.
After much deliberating I decided to make a new mouth piece, ear pieces, (Both of which were made from scratch and cast in aluminium resin) shaped leather cheek pieces, changed the shape of the visor slot, cut a new thick acrylic visor, crisped up the edges and gave it a repaint.

I sculpted the shoulder and rib armour in wet clay, sealed it then made a silicone jacket mould.
Cast them all in the aluninium resin and reinforced the bits that needed it with some fibreglass mat.

Still need to give these a good sand and polish up.
Made the little light-box thing in the same way and added an excellent lighting system from Fettronics.

Next on the list was to start making my first ever lightsabers.
This first saber is Galen Mareks one that he uses before becoming the Sith Stalker. Then a light weight Vader followed by a working luxeon Sith Claymore with removeable blade.
These are then worn on the Sith Stalker belt along with the other 3 sabers that he collects from his prey.
Bearing in mind I have a total of 6 sabers hanging off my belts they need to be light weight reproductions.
I cut all these from vinyl plumbing pipe and foamex.

Very cool, really like the helmet and shoulder/rib armor. Do you have any pics of before and after for the helmet?
Oh and I think you meant to say "WED" clay not wet. ;)

You made a bad a$$ helmet look even more bad a$$ great work! I've been working on the stalker for over a year now...yours is better.

Wow, you make it look so easy. I'm sure tons of hrs of hard work has went into this project. Can't wait to see the complete costume!

Thought it was time for a bit of an update.
Been working all hours lately, so just managed to squeeze in starting the las part of the build.
It's the bit I have been relishing the most- the prosthetic arm!
One of the few things I am able to life cast on my own is my right fore arm.
I started by plugging some drainage pipe with a piece of mdf.
Mixed up €70 euros worth of alginate(dental impression material) and stuck my arm in.
2 mins later I pulled out my arm and poured in some cheapish dental stone called 'Caffa D'
It's much harder than plaster which helps when you are casting narrow things like fingers.
As soon as that was set (10 mins) I cut away the pipe and carefully pulled the alginate away.

After a quick clean up I coated the cast in Diamond glaze and mounted it on a rotating block ready for the sculpt.

Long day in the workshop and a very rushed sculpt as I'm trying to get this ready for Invasion Dublin. That's only 2 weeks away now!!!!!!:eek
It is supposed to be a bit beaten up and covered in blood and muck so hopefully I'll get away with it.

The gaps in the 3 fingers are where the blades attach, and the bullet hole things are for the tubes that come from the arm.

THAT iS A RUSHED JOB????? :eek:eek:eek
Can´t wait to see what you can do with a little time on your hands ;)

Will it be a latex glove? Seems like it could be a bit too thin to cast in some spots!?
