Something must be up because this just happened to me. I think it's because I was in krustyland and it doesn't see a tree there and so it gives me one.
 
So, I have not placed a bet for two days, figured Drools Britannia HAS to win by now. Nope, Doggie Bisquit for the win. He would have paid out 29k, but nooooooo, I lose ANOTHER 2k to that stupid dog! At least this time I can :lol about it!

The problem is I keep going back figuring it has to pay off eventually, but right now I am down 20k and in desperate need of money. I have a ton of buildings in the que and no money to pay for them and very little land left.

So I have a new strategy, I am going to have to put the squidport on hold as it seems that I do not have to build it in order to keep building Spingfield up. I just spent $9100 on another plot of land so that when I get the cash built up I can get the penetentiary built. I then have two more restaurants waiting for me to build. I seem to be able to get around 20k to 30k a day, depending on assignments given and how long I can be on line tapping away brown houses and having them pay off. So I am just going to build Springfield right now, and focus on buildings that come with characters who I can put to work for more cash. I am now on level 19 and when I get to the part where I am making larger sums of cash each day, I will spread the land out more and work on my water fronts.

I visit those guys who have the popsicle stick towers and I am in envy of them. And I am determined leave those darn dogs alone! Biscuit seems to win the most, but I am determined to play Drools untill he pays off.....which is why I am down 20k at the tracks with not a single win! :lol
 
Stay away from the Dog Track. It's a waste of time and money, the odds are way against you. You're better off spending that 2k on items that raise your vanity and other ratings which add a multiplier to all your tasks.

As for the best way to make money, do 60 minute tasks and check in every hour of the day. Visit all your friends towns daily and tap buildings to get loot and xp. Don't buy land until you absolutely need it, and pay attention to the tasks that it wants you to do first...Squidport is nice, but expensive and doesn't do a lot in the end. Brown houses are the best deal for something to build that pays out...Buy a plot in a corner and fill it with brown houses side by side as tight as you can get them...it's ugly but it'll really bring in the doh! (get it, doh!?) if you check in regularly. On a good day where I keep up with my town, I can rake in around 150-200k through tasks and buildings.
 
Okay so I try tolog on, but cant connect and I forgot my password, do the reset and it gives me a welcome back thaddeustu839, except I am thaddeustu569. My town is GONE! I am back to square frikin one after dropping $50.00 in donuts this past month and finally getting some crap built up. So I reset MY account and got the check email message, but it did not go to my inbox! What the heck?


And so I just spent a half hour on origin looking for the email link and it is no where to be found. I just lost $50.00 to this game and am at level 7. I am now thaddeustu839.

This seems to be happening to a number of people. They seem to have some success by u installing the game, reinstalling it and then logging in. Your progress is saved on origin servers so it should still be there somewhere.
 
So my brain kicked in and I figured part of it out. When I first began playing I was doing it anonymously. I was at level 7. Then went I went to buy donuts I created the account, but did not import my current game, so I started over again. It was no big deal as I was only on level 7. Now I am on 19 and have spent real money to advance the game. So, the password reset sent me to my original game that was still at level 7. (now 8). I have no idea where my level 19 game is. I reset the password on both of them and got the email alert message, however the only one in my email is the level 7 game. I put in a request email and got a response of please wait up to 14 days for a reply. I really don't mind too much starting at level 7 again, but what bugs me is the premium items I had paid for that I will need to buy again if I want them. I will wait at least the 14 days and see if they can help me sort it out.

In the meantime, the other town will grow. I won't buy any donuts for this one until I know for sure I won't get my 'prime' town back. I checked my secondary email account to see if anything was there, but nothing.
 
So I found a neat little bug. I moved some toxic waste and now every time I go into the game it comes back. I get cash every time. :) I've also started house farming and am buying land like crazy.
 
I am in so much need of cash. I am not earning fast enough to keep up with the properties, let alone some desperately needed land.
 
Treehouse of Horror stuff lands on Oct. 1st...start saving cash, donuts and be ready to play hourly to get all the halloween stuff before it disappears!
 
I'm on level 32 and still haven't built the hospital, pimento grove, three other shops and now the mental hospital and the minature golf has come up. At this point, I am focusing on itmes that come with people, so that I can put them to work and earn more cash. I will then go back and just build up starting with the least expensive first. I also need land badly. I am not interested in having haloween items in my town, but I am hoping the games will let me build quick cash to fund my building projects. I would like to have the alien walking around though, I am hoping to score him sometime.

Krustly land is going slow. I am not sending anyone over to do anythign there unless it is assigned. I am building with whatever tickets I get each day. let's not even talk about the highly ignored Squid Port.....
 
I'm having a lot of fun with the Halloween update. The game hasn't been this fun since Whacking Day.

I hope we get the Church of Lard Lad this week.

I've got a lot of hurry up and wait time on the job, so I've started a few accounts. I could use current players to replace a few of my friends who've quit.
