Silver Nemesis-Style Cybergun?

So, I've been looking at the Earthshock-style Cybermen guns lately and thinking to myself it'd actually be a pretty simple prop to put together (most difficult part being the handle, but I could work around that) on the cheap, but then I remembered that the Doctor Who episode Silver Nemesis had a different cybergun going for it. Does anyone have any reference pictures for that one or any replicas that have been made?

Definitely. The Earthshock gun was iconic - there is a pdf file for a paper prop out there, not a very detailed one though.

Here is the Nemesis gun:

Looks like This Planet Earth offers a replica:

The original Nemesis props were very flimsy and made in quite a rush I believe, I have seen photos of an original and its in a very poor state considering its not really that old. They were cool at the time though, especially with the little tiny squibs that went off when they were fired

:thumbsup Yes, most classic Who props are vary rushed. Adds to the charm. ;)

SILVER NEMESIS GUN

It's beautiful! :love

It looks nice, but imo its very overpriced, also tthis planet earth don't have an amazing reputation, the design of the gun is quite straightforward, would make s good project for a scratchbuild

Ya, I wouldn't pay that for it. Just like their pics. :):thumbsup

And it's something I'm kind of considering for such a project (I see PVC tubes for the front and back, maybe deconstruct a lightsaber toy for parts of it, too?).

Anyone know any kind of material like a thin plastic that one could find at a hardware store of something - thicker than the plastic on a plastic folder, but relatively easy to cut through and make shapes out of? Something that came in the size of posterboard or so? The thing that hangs me up in a lot of builds is trying to create something with a shape that I can't take from a toy or other object due to the unique shape.

This Planet Earth makes replicas from Mike Tuckers original.

I believe the Cybergun cone at the front then went on to be the grenade in BATTLEFIELD that had a light at the base.

The silver chrome on them pretty much all flaked off or went Gold....mighty funny when you think of what Cybermen are allergic too.

Silver nemesis. That's what i call the old lady down the street who doesn't like me.:behave

I always preferred the guns in SN over ES. The ES guns just looked like futuristic Dustbusters to me.

Sheet styrene is perfect for such a project, I used 1.5mm to make my Thor hammer from, most hobby shops should carry it

I'd look or a squared metal box that you could cut down and make into the main body with a little work. Aluminum tubing on the back and a metal tube on the front with bolted hardware construction and a few embellishments for detail. Be a lot sturdier than plastic and already be silver colored with no painting and have plenty of room if you wanted to add electronics. If you use thin electronics boxes it won't weigh too much either.

I'll take an Earthshock gun anyway... :)
This one doesn't really do it for me, but to each there own!
