Silicone sticking to sculpt...need to remove it?

I have a problem with some silicone that has stuck like glue to a sculpt. The original was sculpted in clay and then fired. I was asked not to seal it with anything more permanent than mould release before moulding. Well, the mould is now totally stuck to the sculpt. I've never run across this before with anything, not even porous materials like plaster.

Anyone have any ideas on how to go about getting this off? A quick google search has suggested I may be screwed, but if anyone can help, it should be the RPF...

What was the mold release? A lot of mold releases have a good concentration of silicone in them for the same reason silicone makes a good mold material, and that is nothing sticks to silicone EXCEPT other silicone... so if the wrong release is used, i.e. one that has a lot of silicone solids in it... it could potentially act as a glue when silicone is poured over top... another consideration is that the firing process could open pores in the clay causing the silicone to flow into those micro pores and causing a mechanical lock... yes getting cured silicone off anything is not easy... the assumption is any solvent that would work could also effect the original... and solvents won't work that well unless it is soaked into the silicone over time causing the silicone to swell...

I used ease release 200, as I've never had issues with it before.

Any suggestions on solvents that might have any effect on it? I think I may just have to take my chances on them affecting the sculpt, even if I have to soak it.

Fired? as in its Ceramic?

This isnt good. It needed to be sealed with something a bit more aggressive than a spray mold release.

You will have to pull the silcione away as best you can, or cut it away.

You casting will have blue Acne forever Im afraid.
