Silicone prosthetics/appliances

Okay, I'm pretty experienced at molding/casting resin. I've been asked to look at doing some silicone work for a costume. I'm totally in unfamiliar territory. Any resources or forums/sites/boards I should be checking out? Other than Smooth-On.com? :lol

I mean, I know this is a big undertaking- but I'm always up for learning new stuff.

First off, what kind of clay do I sculpt in? Plasticine?

Some excellent tutorials over there covering sillicone as well as latex, resin etc. etc.
And some very talented people who will have 'been there and done that' before
