Silent Hill - Original Pyramid Head Display

Wes over at Wickedprops.com approached us to do a third Silent Hill display for him. This time, he had only a few (though important) elements in-hand. He had the screen-worn giant helmet and chest/arm prosthetics but that was all.

The chest and arm were in decent condition, though the character's look required one arm larger than the other, so there were only prosthetics for one arm. We customized a mannequin for fit and mounted the foam skins over it.

We added the "open" right hand to showcase the hand/finger prosthetics and painted and scarred the rest of that hand and the "bare" arm to match the look of the prosthetics.

Once the body was done (and in an odd/creepy pose that works well for Silent Hill!), we sorted a mount for the helmet and then created (from scratch) the leathery-looking "butcher skirt", heavily distressed and made to match the style and detailing of the one in the film.

Pics below... as always, visit www.TomSpinaDesigns.com for more info about this Custom Mannequin Movie Prop Display and to see other projects like this one.

Thanks for looking!

best,
Tom

Sincerely one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. This would freak me out if I was unaware of it and stumbled upon it...

That guy must have a hell of a time finding a hat that fits. ;-)

Creepy as hell, Tom. Amazing as always.

ha... did you make it? Nice work on the helmet :)

LOL

Definitely! That thing was huge!! Can't imagine wearing that all day was good for the actor's neck.

Thanks to all for the kind words on the display work :)

best,
Tom

Indeed I did.

Can't say much for the real one, but mine is foamcore. So it is nice and light. And I can see just find out of it. XD

Nice work...

The original is fiberglass and such... definitely not super-light! And as far as I could tell, there was pretty much zero visibility! Must've been a crazy costume to wear...
