Silent hill blood rust texture

So this really isn't a prop of any kind so I apologize if this is posted in the incorrect spot. But I'm going to be painting a dresser for a friend. And they want a real rustic worn out look and me being a really really big silent Hill fan inspired from it for everything I do, I just got into airbrushing and spray painting overall. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or tutorials to give off this kind of look?

Look for iron oxide powders on ebay if you want real color cross bleed and depth. Also look at uses with rust vinegar on youtube.
