Not sure if this has been mentioned on another thread yet but Sideshow Collectibles is producing a 1:1 Scale Boba Fett bust for sale later this year

I've added a few photo's and a "preview" of it on my site

I'm sure the hard-core Fett fans are not going to like it - and personally I find it odd that it shares the same helmet visor tapering fault that the MR had (suspicious?).

Also from what I can gather this is made of non-wearable parts and therefore the helmet can't be worn - in fact from the shots of the prototype it looks like the visor's been painted black.

However from a "mass production" collectible standpoint I'm sure it will be a successful product for SSC - despite the $800 price tag.

The non range finder ear muff part on the SS helmet looks different from the MR version. It's outer edge gets bigger as it goes up.
Much of the shape work between the two different helmets is very identical. It makes you wonder if they come from the same source. MR continued to tamper with theirs to meet fan expectations. That could explain why things are so close and off between the two.

I would guess it's recast from a MR production piece. There are some mods, but the overall piece looks recast.

I think it looks like complete crap. The paint is terrible , the visor- unforgivable, as well as numerous inaccuracies. I hope it doesnt sell so Sideshow learns to do a little more research.

I'm sure the hard-core Fett fans are not going to like it -

Yeah, we've been bashing this on TDH for about a week.
It's horrible, innaccurate, and not worth 10% of what they want for it.


1. The Armor is oversize and the chest diamond is undersize. The colors are off too.
2. The helmet paintjob is pathetic and not even close to any version of the helmet. The detailing on the symbols for the ears is all wrong as well.
3. The cape is hanging from the wrong shoulder stud
4. The Bantha Skull on the left shoulder is ROTJ, not ESB (as the rest of the bust is intended to be)
5. The shoulder armor itself is not correctly shaped
6. The scratches on the armor are not an accurate depiction of the actual scratching and the chest symbol is quite innaccurate as well.
7. The Helmet has 15 killstripe. In reality, it should have 14 for ESB and 18 for ROTJ (The MR helmet has the same issue)
8. No jetpack whatsoever.
9. The rangefinder should not be solid black.

What he said. That is really pretty embarrassing considering all the reference and information that is available... what a truly sad missed opportunity on Sideshow's part... :thumbsdown

While not screen accurate at all, I do kinda like their ideal of physical damage based weathering as opposed to strictly painted weathering. That is a nice concept and makes for a nice display detail, but not accurate.
