Showoff - Batteries Not Included WHEEMS

Wow, thanks for all the compliments. The finished diorama is about 7 inches tall... not very big. Each one of the Ufos were built with one 5mm LED inside. All the wires were run through the legs to behind the wall where there is a 3 volt battery pack. Its hard to see in the pics but there is a panaramic view of New york outside the window.. the pictures dont really do it justice... Thanks again for the compliments.

thats really amazing, so much detail and accurate scale so small...i wish i could buy it :p

Man, how did I miss this thread!?! I love that movie and especially the bots! I'd love to have one as well.:)

Great job on the buildup, Kylash! It really looks awesome!

Now, will somebody get started on one to offer up as kits already!!! ;)

-B89! :D

I cant remember who I originally got mine from, but it was a member here, so I wont be casting mine =\ But I may consider selling the buildup I have...need some cash quick..reeeeally dont wanna sell him though :(

I think remember seeing kits being offered by GA many moons ago but I'm not sure if it was his work or re-cast from someone else. Still, with all the talent we have on this board I'm sure someone here can do one to offer up! :)

Selling yours!? Man, that would be a shame 'cause you did an awesome job on it!

DocBrown88, for some reason the pics of your diorama weren't showing up for me earlier but they do now, and all I can say is...

WOW!!

That is outstanding work! I can't believe the amount of detail for something so small. :eek

Very well done!!

Wow, thanks for the compliments. I appreciate it. I have been working on some 1:1 scale of Flotsam Jetsam and Wheems. My only road block is the undersides... I need some more reference photos... What i have found here has been very helpful. Thanks. If anyone has any other pics etc... please post them.

It's probably been twenty years since I saw this great movie. Hadn't thought about it forever, but for some reason it popped into my head today. I was thinking that the little robots would make some good props. A quick search turned up this thread.

I really like both the 1:1 and the diarama pictured here. I would love to get my hands on either kit. So did you ever finish 1:1 Flotsam, Jetsam, and Wheems DocBrown88?

Love both.. I have actually been searching for years for replicas of them.. Love how you both have made dioramas for them.. Need to start tracking them down again..

I was wondering if any more good reference pics have surfaces (other than the ones in this thread and in Cinefex)? I'm planning on tackling scratch-building these little guys soon...

Oh these are so cute was my second all time fav film as a kid and i even made replicas from clay at school they wernt very good as i was only a kid but i loved em lol. Oh id love to have some proper replica of all of these I can dream.:rolleyes

regards
Steve :love

Many of the photos from this thread are no longer linked. And the Mtmeyers link is dusty. Has anybody got the time to post more photos? Or any new info? Thanks a tonne.

Are there any new photos or updates? I've been trying to track down a replica. I bought one off of e-bay and am waiting for it to arrive. I came across goldenarmor.com, but also came across some negative feedback on here so I decided to stay away. Does anyone have any reference dimensions of the one used in filming or a source for a screen accurate model?
