Show your Star Wars collection

It seemed like a fun idea to have a single collection thread, so here goes. My actual display isn't much to look at as it's displayed, so I built a cheap lightbox to take some photos.

Helmets are all black series versions. Good enough to look pretty on a shelf, which is all I need since I don't do full cosplay stuff.

Sabers are all over the place. Graflex is an original conversion, Obi Wan EpIV is from Roman, Vader is a master replicas hilt with the blade removed, and a little beat up from the process.

Nice collection! I'm interested in how you built the lightbox and took the pictures. Whenever I try to take pics of my stuff, they come out horribly. I tell myself that it's all due to bad lighting, of course.

I followed a YouTube tutorial on building a cheap lightbox, then took the photos with my phone. Didn't even bust out the DSLR.

I did have to do a little work in Lightroom and Photoshop to even out the background, but it came out pretty decent I think.

Almost every time I've tried to shoot my hilts before it's come out mediocre at best. The box took 15 minutes to build and the most expensive part was the lamps I had to buy but most folks will probably already have on hand, and they were only $10ish each.

I don't think many of us could show all of our Star Wars **** in a single post. Ha, look at how many pages some individual SW collection threads can get!

Yep, that's why I put my photos into little collages. Otherwise you'd have been scrolling through 11 full size photos and no one has time for that anymore.

A couple of these photos are outdated. I've replaced some helmets since taking the photo. The lightsabers are all Black Series. Since this photo was taken I've gotten the new Rey and Leia ones. The rancor corbel from Regal Robot arrives tomorrow, filling in the gap between the Han and Docking Bay plaques.

The only things not shown or displayed elsewhere are the Force FX riot baton and a Vader costume I never completed.

Hey Paul Andrew ! Your photos turned out spectacular! I like the "Twin Suns" on your Vader Helmet. ;)

Hey blewis17 ! That's a nice collection you have there! Are you going to sacrifice your Atari board when we discover that it is the clamp card in the V2?

And this is for everybody, PLEASE IRON LORD VADER'S CAPE! Use a pressing cloth and low heat (depending on the material). There's no place for wrinkles in the Imperial Army! ;)

Hey 7-11 Jedi ! It looks like you're missing an X-Wing Pilot, otherwise, your collection is quite ducky! ;)

Hey jkno ! Are your cabinet doors painted with faux white cutouts, or are those lit plexiglass cutouts? Either way, that's an 'Imp'ressive collection you have assembled. I like how it cascades from room to room. Now all you have to do is convert your torchiere lamp into a Planet Endor with Death Star Lamp and you'll be all set! Well, that and starting another room to house all your Star TREK videos. ;)

Thank you all for showing your collections! It's always inspiring to see so many items on display. Keep 'em coming!

You mean the Imperial shapes on the cabinets? Those are custom made stickers.

Hey Synz314 ! That lightsaber wall needs a lights-off, sabers-on photo taken of it! It'd be fun to organize them chronologically by in Universe creation dates.

I was talking with someone the other day about Han Solo in Carbonite Fridge Doors, it strikes me as funny thinking that a partial H.I.C. like yours would be perfect for a mini-fridge! Better yet, a mini wall fridge and the Docking Bay 94 plaque could be an inwall microwave! Best of all, have the half HIC be a door that swings open to reveal an inwall, illuminated, DL-44 display. Or, imagining a friend over at your place says, "That Han in Carbonite is SO COOL!", and you step over, swing it open and there's a white-blue lit, fake ice-frosted glass display with the hood and shoulders of Han's Hoth jacket and goggles in it, and you answer with.... "I know."

Or something along those lines. Thank you for sharing your updated photos, it's good to see how collections grow and evolve!

I definitely need to take a photo with them turned on. Half of them have the batteries removed or dead. I have them organized in release order. The standard Black Series sabers are numbered on the boxes, but they stopped numbering them with the Elite ones.

My "Intergalactic Pawn Shop Wall" display. I got a little carried away with custom saber building around 7 years ago and they're blocking the display cases behind them. Some of the duplicates will be sold eventually.

And there's a few helmets displayed nearby. The ESB and Mandalorian Fett helmets are Hasbro Black series, the white Mcquarrie custom is my handiwork. It started out as a Rubies.

And speaking of Rubies, here's another Rubies rebuild. I did it before the movie was released. I don't even consider those movies to be canon, lol. At least the helmet looks good now.
