Show Your Favorite Prop Badge/Badge Collection

What badge is this from?
I've definitely seen it but can't place it. Minority Report?

Isn't there a TV show called "Sector 7?" If so, I think that's where its from (I remember a TV show with "Sector" in the title on the Sci-Fi Channel).

The TJH badge in that photo looks like there is no agency name and no center seal...just the mounting ring, which has been painted blue. I tried adjusting the photo several different ways and it still appears that both sections are blank.

Makes sense...just can't see it. If anyone is interested, I may look into reproducing these in a small run...I'll start an interest thread in the JY when I'm ready to get the ball rolling. Also looking at doing Vic's badge from the Shield.

for those interested in the old tv show 3rd watch you can find a patch that was made for the production crew to wear on clothing on bay i have one in my collection and a pic of the patch in my photos

My collection is in it...at least my original props from Dragnet, Adam 12, Police Woman, Police Story, etc. since the book is specifically on LAPD insignia. You'll see my name credited in there. The author is a friend.
In regards to the Series 6 LAPD Badge, what was the reasoning behind the ending of Entenmann-Rovin being the supplier of the badges?

I'm guessing it is similar to my department. Low Bid. LAPD has, to my knowledge, over the years had their shields (series 5 and 6) made by:
- L.A. Stamp and Stationary
- LARSCO
- Sun
- Entenmann-Rovin
- Blackington
and others.

When a city / county contract expires, it is usually put out again as an RFP (Request For Proposal) and then an RFB (Request For Bid) and the purchasing department awards the bid. Interestingly, even though the specs are supposedly identical, the actual produced badges are different enough that they can be used as evidence. One cop was dissing LAPD on videos with his face covered and a piece of tape over the badge number. They were able to forensically determine which company made the badge (from the film) and narrow down the personnel issued that "run" of badges. Further investigation narrowed down the possible culprits and eventually the offending cop was caught and disciplined.

Here's some stuff from my screen used LA prop stash:

I ended up with most / alot of the studio props from that era of cop shows inc. Police Story, MacGruder and Loud, Joe Forrester, Rookies, SWAT, Rockford, TJH, McClain's Law, Police Woman, Quincy, etc. Some of the props were interchanged, others were proprietary. I can look for TJH's actual badge but the one shown here is the same except for the #.

In this photo you can see TJH patches inc. a screen used one and a mail-order/convention reproduction. The screen used "LSPD" patch and shield are from MacGruder and Loud. I acquired these decades ago.

I never knew about Blackinton making badges for the LAPD. I know that I'm trying to determine whether LA Stamp or Entemann-Rovin made the famous Sergeant 714 badge seen in the Dragnet/Dragnet 1967 titles. Those 1960's LAPD shields were a thing of beauty. Since this is the 70th Anniversary of the world famous Series 6 badge, you'd think either E-R or Sun would make a commemorative badge.

Thanks to your tip, I picked up a set of patches and 55 Brass for my collection, thanks again.

I have some badges with blank panels. Can someone please tell me how to make clear decal/labels to place on these panels? I'd love to be able to mock up some of the badges as repros of my favorite TV/movie props.

Thanks.

Ronin...
