Yesterday I got a new Sonic Screwdriver - The Wide Slider Sonic - which has been a work in progress for nine months now. For this project I used one of Anakin Starkiller's replacement handles for a Wand Company remote, which Kurosawa painted for me with a Series 2-3 grey crackle finish.

Once I got the Wand Company sonic I took it all apart, glued the emitter cage and neck together, turned part of the plastic body into a button stop to attach to the collar and fit in the slider channel and I had hoped to try my hand at soldering the electrics but a small issue stopped me from doing it so I sent it all to my friend Jamie in the UK who had machined a new brass battery compartment and acrylic rod. Jamie then fitted the sonic with new wires, a micro switch and a blue LED and did the final assembly. There is no sound for this unit due to the space in the body not allowing for it with the new brass chamber but it is set ready with a blue light so that's ok with me.

I just made a Timelord Stazer from the DrWho episode "Invasion Of Time" I plan to make the Stazer form "Ark of Infinity" & the Stazer Rifle From " Deadly Assassin".

My current Dr. Who build is a cyberman head. I previously built a Tardis police box door for my daughters bedroom.

Have shown a lot of my doctor who props on here already. But I've packed everything up as we are moving ready to go in my new workshop. As I was cleaning out the back of a cupboard in the kitchen I found this item I completely forgot i had from the Christmas special Voyage of the Damned. It's amazing what you'll find when pack up a house.

image.jpgThanks. Never got around to lighting it. It's set up as a cover to the existing doorframe, and is held on with 4 screws. Easily removed if needed.
