YOU! You stole my idea. . . I guess I should say you beat me to it. Excellent Driver's License and papers. I have screen caps of these from the movie and was researching to do this. I even have the tin.
Great job, very well done. I am a huge fan of this film and am reading the story now. Did you make Brook's letter or the letter Andy write's to the Comptroller's office for funds? Or the letter to him telling him to stop writing?
I am now a fan of yours. Will be watching for these for sale. Saves me from working on them. I look forward to being able to fill my tin.

I haven't done any of the other letters I'm afriad. Do we actually see them on screen? I really only go for accurate reproductions, not so into making the props up. I might be doing the letter Andy sends to the newspaper though as it is briefly seen...

Ghost Hunters did a show there once. It was pretty good, lots of noises and banging. Ooooooooooo!!!!!
The pipe he crawled thru is still there and the room that Brooks and Red had when they got out is there.

I was amazed at how run down the place looked in that episode. I guess you take it for granted that things looked reasonably clean and orderly in the movie and it would still be the case in real life.
On a side note, if I remember reading correctly, the cell block wasn't actually filmed at the prison. It was a set built strictly for the film.

I think you are correct. I'm actually from that area of Ohio (Mansfield) and never made it to the prison until last year. I'll dig up some of the pics and post.

Here's another item I just added to my Shawshank collection yesterday.
It's a screen used prison uniform number 31762 worn by Neil Giuntoli who plays "Jigger". The shirt in particular sees a lot of screen time. The pants even have the character's name in them.
My thanks to Chief Bast for all his help in acquiring this.
