Still waiting for the laser cutter to be fixed…

We have the last ones going and wrapping up, so I’m hopeful for the weekend to produce a fixed cutter and then we can get the next batch of probably 7 out then we’ll only have 5 or 6 left to get out.

Two more headed out, we’re now waiting for the cutter to be fixed. I’ve reached out to other custom cutters in the area, so we shall see what happens after the weekend attempts to get up and running.

Yup. The laser guys have a new control board en route, and we should have this wrapped up in two weeks.

If they don’t have the problem solved next weekend, I’m shipping these all out as they finish and I’ll just eat the cost of shipping the bases at a later date.

Just a small update, control board for laser cutter set to arrive this week from China, installed next weekend. If that doesn’t do the trick, we have an alternative supplier standing by.

So we should be competed by the end of September. Thanks and stay tuned.

Last update on the laser cutter:
Control board is stuck in customs land…
We’ve given all the chances we can, but I’m moving forward with the second supplier. We’ll be cutting bases and lenses throughout next week and have them shipped out, and start assembling and packing up everyone once they arrive.

This has been my first real-world subcontracting experience( the headstraps, laser cut parts, decals, etc). As I’m graduating to larger projects next year, it’s an experience I’m required to have…
It has been very eye opening… gotta say, I’m not a fan of handing stuff off and hoping it’s right… but alas… such is a growing business and hobby life.

All orders of any variety in this thread and on Etsy will be compared and shipped on or before October 15th.
