Sherlock Holmes Reproduction Handkerchief:
Another gift, I was watching (for the millionth time in preparation for wearing the costume of Ms. Adler for Wondercon) Sherlock Holmes and got it into my head to make the embroidered handkerchief that Irene Adler leaves behind for Holmes at the Punch Bowl scene.
I have only done hand sewing and cross-stitch and never embroidery so this was a first for me.

On my first attempt, I hand sketched the design onto a handkerchief. I wasn't happy with the results, so attempted a second one:
The second one I did a lot of thick stitches which seemed to make the design fuller like the screen shots.
Completed:
And just for fun I did one for Holmes as well! I also did one for the Watson in our costuming group, but I forgot to take a picture of it!
