I bought 3 of these awesome hammers from Sarednab, mainly to be able to choose one with the nicest "wood grain" and to experiment with staining the handle a bit more (if I messed up, I had two others to try). Luckily, I did not mess up, and all hammers have a very nice wood grain.
So I'm selling off the other two again. I decided to stain the handles too, to make them more screen accurate. This process is quite labor intensive, because the hammers arrive "oiled". So the metal part is covered in grease, but this grease gets a bit into the wood too. To get that out is quite hard. After that, I use various techniques to achieve the correct tone for the handle, using different products to give different tones. The handles are then finished with a wood protective oil coating, which give them a bit of a shine too.
I see the old hammers are sold on Etsy for €320. Here you get the new, more accurate version, with an even more accurate wooden handle. I only have two hammers available, which are shown in the pictures.
So if interested in one of those, drop me a PM.
