Sharpshooter55's Eleventh Doctor WIP

Hey all, me again,

Started rewatching Doctor Who again and upon reaching series 5, I decided I wanted to give Doctor Eleven a shot.

Here's my very rough start, nothing I've sourced is screen accurate, but I'm trying to get as close as possible.

The jacket is nearly spot on. The buttons need to be swapped out and the back of the jacket isn't correct, but I'm really happy with the overall look and the fabric is a dead ringer.

The pants are navy blue chinos from H&M and they do the trick.

Bowtie is also from H&M. Need a more accurate red.

Shirt is just something I threw on until I can find a more accurate one...which I CANNOT find ANYWHERE! Any ideas where I can get my hands on a replica?

Also, and boots that are closer to the All Saints that Smith wears?

Thanks for looking all!

Good job. A tailor could sort out the back of the jacket for you. They'll probably protest, but could be convinced.

As for the boots, there was some debate as to whether or not he briefly wore brown boots, but the All Saints that were IDed are a black oil dyed leather with a brown top section. The overall shape and pattern (at least the exposed part) of yours look pretty correct, though.

And for the shirt, you can order the fabric from my Spoonflower shop:

Awesome thanks!

I may just go to a tailor and have them go at it.

As far as the boots go, I've been looking around and came across a few boots on amazon.com that may be a bit closer.

If one had the fabric, how would they go about having a shirt made?

Thanks again!

I'll have to keep looking around for a shirt. Prices are sky high for a reproduction. Can't justify spending that kind of cash right now.

With that said though, I just purchased these boots, because I really like them, and they have a "close enough" vibe! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JH4DHOG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

AND, I bought some blue braces and a matching bow tie. I love the red get up more, but the blue is growing on me...

Got the boots in today! They are extremely comfortable and I think they fit the role well.

Threw on a blue shirt this time to tie it in with the rest of the costume better. I have a new one coming in the mail soon.

I have contacted seven local tailors...NONE of which are able to make a dress shirt.

Anyone know of any online places, or maybe RPF members that could help me out?

So, I received my "close enough" shirt and thought I'd share some pics.

I think I'm gonna take some fabric paint to the cuffs and add the blue rings. Will update when done.

Also distressed the boots some. They look and feel loads better. Just beat them to hell with a rag and hammer and took some sand paper to them.

Thanks for looking again, ladies and gents. Geronimo.
