SG-1 Medic/Utility Vest. Where to find one?

Hi Folks,

I'm posting for a friend of mine thats working on a SG-1 costume for Halloween but has run into a bit of a snag. He's looking for a SG-1 "Medic/Utility" Vest thats been used on the show. Here's the link to the pic:

LA Police Gear just had a clear out of all the old [correct SG-1] models over the summer, which is when I snagged mine. I doubt they still have any now. I think you might be able to find a sufficient knock-off on an airsoft site, but I can't list anything for certain.

Blackhawk still lists the Medic/Utility vest on their website as orderable, but the other style used on Atlantis (& sometimes SG1) isn't orderable that has the right shoulder sniper padding. It's pricy from them though. There should be plenty of airsoft knockoffs available on ebay and its probably a better bang for the buck for a halloween costume.

Regardless of which you get, to make it cannon you'll have to do atleast 1 mod and that's move the velcro fuzz backing to the right side upper pocket from the left. Also, most SG1 vests had the female side of a 1 inch side disconnect added to the shoulder with a loop of velcro over it to hold it down (there are a few vests that didn't have this mod). I can pull out my vest and see about finding a model # on the clip if needed, but it was a thicker side release buckle used (close to 1/2 inch thick vs the 3/8s thick that most are). I could never track it down when I looked for it a few years ago.

One vest that's been discussed on SG1Props is the one from The Vest Guy.

I haven't personally seen one of his, but he sells them with the Stargate SG-1 modifications already done.

Otherwise Blackhawk should have the new model of the vest for sale by now.
