I am attempting a costume way beyond my capabilities and would like to get someone else (withing NSW, Australia) to do the sewing. I am making a subject delta costume and have no idea how to do the undersuit and leather bits. Im good on all the hard bits but fabrics have never been my strong suit.

i will attach a pic of the suit

If ANYONE can help me or has some tips/tricks, please help me. :thumbsup

I suspect that most of the under suit would be canvas. I had pretty good luck buying a canvas painters drop cloth from buntings and sewing with that. I was a bit stunned at the cost of dying the fabric, so it may be more cost effective to just tea dye and stain, and leave it the canvas natural colour. For the heavier seams, you can get a sweet look by covering the regular seam with a "tube" of canvas that you sewed and turned inside out so the seam is hidden. Then top stitch the tube with contrast thread flt over the top of the regular seam. I would suggest a cheap cotton lining, you can get old linens from the opportunity shops for well under 10$. I think to make it bulkier, you could get a hoop for the waist and a pair of suspenders. Just some initial thoughts! Good luck!
