Hey all After some fantastic panels and chats with Kamui, Monika Lee and Riddle at a convention just past, I have decided to take a massive step up in the time and money investments in my Cosplay. I plan to put a year plus into making a gender swap Vi from LoL and do something I haven't seen before, fully articulated fingers on her gauntlets. I have some experience in electronics but nothing I have used in the last 12 years. My idea was to fit servos into all the joints and operated them through push switches near the hand grips, however this means 26 Servos just for the fingers alone. Naturally this will get a tad pricy once you add Audinos and LEDs etc. let alone actual costume materials. Does anyone have any tips or advice on ways I may be able to simplify/cheapen this all without losing the mechanical feel and going for pull stings as other have done in the past.
