Selecting paint for TASM spider-man suit

I'm about to order slick paint to do lines on a TASM1 spidey suit. I'll need to order online as supply is really limited locally, so hoping for some advice to make sure I get what I actually need. I've got two questions:

1) How much paint do you need to do a full suit? I've found estimates ranging from 12oz to 128oz, so a big variance.

2) I'd like to have the colour of the finished suit a little darker toned than it is now. So thinking black for the main lines, deep red for the red areas, and torn between navy or black for the blue areas. How have others found using dark blues compared to black on those areas, or any other advice on colours with the TASM styles or others?

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

Deep red is the usual choice for the red honeycomb, and black or navy blue for the blue areas. Black for the webbing and lines, of course. Maybe 6 or 8 bottles for the whole thing depending on if you're gonna run tests etc. For example 3 bottles of deep red and 3 bottles of black should do quite alot, the stuff really lasts. I hope that helped a bit and good luck with your project! :)

I"ve finally started painting :) This is going to take a lot longer than anticipated, a two hour stint just to do the main black lines on 1/3 of each of the boots! I got these henna applicators from Etsy that are working really well. The largest nozzle is about the same size as the built in Tulip applicator, and then 4 progressively finer variations. I'm hoping to do all of the black lines this weekend, then next weekend will start on the navy, hex pattern and eventually the red (which is the finest on the pattern and will take a very long time haha).
