Couldn't find any threads discussing props from the movie Se7en.

Searching with the keyword "seven" doesn't give accurate results either.

So anybody has any info/pictures of props or prop replicas from Se7en?

I am currently working on a deadly sins journal that has been a work in progress for oh about eight years...I have one page of it done. :confused

When Se7en came first out on DVD about then, it came with a bonus disk that was loaded with gruesome pics of the journals.

Its funny that I actually dug it out just two days ago and decided to resume it.

I know Dustin Crops Boy was working on John Doe's trophy cabinets but don't know if he ever completed them.

Wow.. both of these projects sounds cool.

Since all the books were hand made (as in pages bound together), do you think the pages and binding was custom made or they used an existing notebook cover with pages and then ripped them apart, to be then stitched back together?

I think the latter. On one of the books, you can see that it is a 1987 edition Mead composition. I think they simply pulled it apart and restiched it up.

I have the Gluttony note, it came from The propstore about the only prop I have seen from that film, I think my version is the one seen on the chalk board of the detectives office as it come in an evidence bag.

Seven (1995), Gluttony Note, original / screen-used

john doe book info. $15,000.00 spent making them. hand written by john segal/sagel. MEAD composition notebooks, 100 sheets 200 pages, 9 1/4 x7 1/2 in. wide ruled #09910 circa 1987. they found a stationary store that had been closed since the 50's and used yellowed tape for pictures. printed "some" of the medical pics of cadavers and medical procedures on clear plastic to let john does writings show thru. color coded binding tape was used for each sin. not specified which was which. john segal's dad was either in prison or a guard (not specified) but had boxes of "stuff" that john went thru and used. he used an actual suicide note from an inmate in one of the books because he was pressured so much for authenticity. hand stitched using large curved operating needles and laundry thread. once the books were done they put them in an oven and "baked" them for weathering.
