SDS HDPE TK faceplate......

Hi,
I just thought I would post up a few shots of a faceplate that I trying out from AA. It is made of Clear HDPE and I have just primed it in white primer and am going to gloss it when it dries.
It is alot thicker than the T*E HPDE and isn't a full helmet but it was just lying around in his workshop and I asked if I could give it a coat of paint. :love
AA says he may have tracked down some of the KHAKI colour HDPE he used in the 70's so I have my fingers crossed that he gets some so I can get a full helmet and paint it up with real scratches, chips and all.
Any way here is the pic. It isn't a perfect pull but I will work at that when we get some Khaki HDPE...............

....BUT congrats SSkunky to this faceplate. Great that Andrew gave it to you!!! Wow. And it´s great you share the picture of this untrimmed forehead with us!!!

To be honest I couldn't give a s*** what some of these negative people thinks it really doesn't bother me if people have a problem with AA he's not me. I just happen to know and like the guy unlike some guys who just recast his stuff and slag him off! What makes it worse is that they don't know him and probably have never met either.
I don't know nor neither care what he has claimed and I don't think anyone here was present in 1976 in the same room as AA and GL to say what was discussed and what wasn't.
I was merely showing something I got hold of and thought some others might be interested.

Yeah you kinda said the same thing about lending him parts to cast for his E11, it's really starting to look now like you have some kind of tie with him especially when you use language like " when WE get some khaki HDPE "

I'll make no bones about it i gave him the benifit of the doubt till the truth was established in court, i'm not the kind of person to pile on someone when it's just rumour even if that goes against the popular stance.
Fact is the truth is known now i wouldn't want to do business with him ever, and neither should anyone else in the prop community.

:thumbsup I see it the same way. Coo, you know him. I wish I could also go into his workshop. We had some email contact. And he was always very gentle to me.

Everyone here knows that the reason you hate AA is because he wasn't willing to make a deal with you where you would get rich quick. It's old news and you really should let it rest. noone doubts that he might be a gentle guy, always open to share his, let me call it dubious, "knowledge". he might also be a nice guy to drink a beer with.

nonetheless he still has spread belies about his role in the well known debacle and still does.
that makes him the thiev and untrustworthy person he is called here.
of course there might be some few poeple with personal issues but this is a proprelated forum and with that said we should take a stance against liars and proven recasters...

just my personal opinion!

everyone is entitled to their own view of what has or hasn't been said, re-casted, done, copied, whatever. But if you want to discuss this on your own thread then feel welcome to do so. BUT STOP hijacking my threads. Whenever I post something that contains the word AA or SDS the same old faces jump in and give their 2 cents worth. I've heard it all before and quite frankly don't want to hear it again. We all know your view Gino and it has been said already, it stems from you not getting the deal with AA all those years ago and all you can do now is slag the person off that you wanted to be a business partner with.:rolleyes
It is the few that seem to spoil it, I welcome anyone that has something creative to say but a general slagging off isn't wanted here or on any of my other posts.:unsure

I don't have any business ties with AA and have never made a penny from anything I have done with him. To me this is a hobby and a bit of fun and I just happen to know AA.
I have a job a loving wife and a beautiful daughter, they are what really matter to me in this life not all the nitpicking in this HOBBY.
I enjoy collecting and making props, mainly SW. But I am not really interested in all the politics and sour feelings that go with it.
That said this thread is still here for all those who are interested in a HDPE TK face made by the original maker.

You were equally as rude and aggressive when you promoted the AA/SDS E-11 until you realised it did have the wrong scope and was innacurate.

Really this is a forum for everyone here and people are allowed their opinions without a rude and aggressive answer each time they don't agree with you.

VITC...to be fair its painfully obvious from anyone who reads this thread that Sskunky didnt start the negativity and it was Ginos remark that did so lets place the blame on that one where it belongs. Im no fan of AA either but this was, like it or not, a show off thread and Gino started the negativity and the same folks from the same cliques (notice I said that in plural form) show up on both sides to hijack yet another thread. Theres a PM feature for a reason gentlemen and if you have an issue try taking it there. When you attack someones thread publicly its reasonable to assume that you will be responded to publicly and in the same manner.
Gino doesnt like it when people bring negative commentary to his threads and yet here he is doing exactly that and this is a pattern we see over and over with several folks from both sides and its always the same folks that derail threads here (with little exception). Take it to pm or start youre own thread. Its that simple.

I may sound a little aggressive but what do you expect when all i did was show a replica prop off that I managed to get hold of and then ViTC and Gino amongst others just hijack it and expect me just to sit there and take it. If you don't want me to retaliate don't antagonize me in the first place.
Every action has a reaction......simple....
And the AA E11 doesn't have the wrong scope as he cast my real M38 so get your facts right.
Not everyone agrees with AA and I know that, but I DON'T HAVE TO KEEP HEARING IT....
