sculpture eye question

What size glass eyes are normally used in 1:1 and 1/2 scale busts? I tried ebay but they're all in MM and i have no clue. I want to start learning to sculpt and i figured i'd find this out before i get too far into it. Also the ones on ebay are flat on the back and are doll parts. Does this matter?

I'd check out doll makers. They sell really expensive glass eyes,and cheaprer plastic ones in different scales.Or, just do a google search on "glass eyes",but I know you can get different scaled eyes from doll manufacturers.
