I know I can download or watch it ABC.com but seriously am I the only one that completely missed this?

Did ABC even advertise it?

Greg

Yea, they advertised it alot, It was a 2 parter, 1 hour, the last season finale was so great that I wasent looking forward to it, but it was ok, but not the scrubs we know

I missed it too! I completely forgot it was supposed to be on and wanted to see it. :angry

It was, they even madea finale and some of the ast moved on, but it got picked at the last second and they decided to just keep going

It was a decent episode, but they should have left it alone. It ended really well last season.

If you caught the intro, it's a new show: Scrubs [Med School]

Apparently it's going to be without Zack Braf, Sarah Chalke, Carla, and the Janitor, and lots of new people. I know 2/3 made cameo's last night and Zack (last I heard) was going to be in about 1/2 of them.

It was the same but different in my book. New hospital with the same name, rebuilt at a med school where the old cast is teaching the new one at school and at the hospital.

I intentionally didn't watch it as it was my understanding that they were going to go a more serious route with it which I simply wasn't interested in. :unsure

That is not the case. Unless the next few episodes get really serious.

I'm not entirely happy with the new direction of the show. I was aware that many key cast members would not be returning, but this just seems odd.

I was hoping the interns from season 8 would be the new spotlighted characters. Based on the webdocs on the DVD saeson set, you'd think that was the case. Normally I wouldn't idientify with the upbeat, eternally optimistic character, but I wish Sunny had carried over into the new season. Instead we got Denise (aka: Jo, per JD's nickname from last season).

I'll continue watching to see how it shapes up, but I'm not too hopeful. Turk without JD or Karla? Now that just ain't right!

And I didn't realise it was on either until the day of, when I just happened to see an article in the newspaper laying around at work. According to that, Zach Braff is only contracted to do six episodes. Two down so far. I wonder if they'll be all in a row, or interspersed through the season. Sarah Chalke was out pretty quick, with only the one scene.

I missed the preimiere as well. I don't watch ABC, so I missed all the ads.

I just finished watching it and it was great! I'm not sure how it will be without JD though as some of the weakest episodes last season were with his absence.

I've always been a big fan, but once NBC canceled it, and then ABC picked it up after 6 months, it was never the same. It was good, but not great. I don't know if the writers changed or what, but it just wasn't the same quality.

And once it went to ABC the lighting on the set changed too. It was brighter, and didn't look "right". My wife noticed it too. It was the same set (or appeared to be the same set), but it just looked "off".

I don't really care for the new cast members. I'll probably still catch it from time-to-time, but I'll probably just hit the box sets for my Scrubs fix from now on. :)

I really liked some of the interns last season and kinda miss the old set. I know it was originally a closed hospital but I'm curious why it changed. I didn't know it would be more of a spin-off but at least it isn't After MASH or I hope it doesn't turn into it. I would suspect Karla will be back. I mean Turk is married to her and they have a kid. Does anyone have any more information on the changes?

Well, Judy Reyes got on a new series from what I heard, as well as the janitor. Not sure if those series' got picked up or not though. The lack of the janitor is the biggest disappointment for me.

I saw the preview but forgot to put it on my TiVo. Only other thing I watch on ABC is V.
