Screen Used E-11 on ebay....

...for what seems like very reasonable money for a supposed screen used iconic prop. Not sure if I can post a link but do a search and you'll find it.

What say the E-11 experts?

I admit that I'm not an expert on Star Wars Blasters. But here are some of my concerns as an avid Ebay user.

First is it a Stunt version or a blank firing version? EDIT - Looks Like a stunt version due to no trigger

Where are the Screen grabs of this specific E-11 being used in ANH & ESB? A picture of the Certificate would been a help. OPPS - Found it

EDIT - a lot of my concerns were answered by looking at the ad more in depth.

Interested to see how this plays out.

Well if it's legit... it's some nice reference for painting up a replica for me...

I would tread lightly and get conformation from the Prop Store on who they sold it to etc.

Seems like one of the Baptys from Prop Store indeed. But I'd really want to know if it really is that. It uses some narrower t-tracks (Marv version maybe?) since you can see the barrel holes and the cylinders are pretty good (PWC maybe?). We know Bapty stripped the Sterlings after SW filming was over, so everything on it was added later. So the cylinders and t-tracks are not screen used, neither original found items, but replicas.

M40 scope, pretty nice and accurate. Eagle Hengstler and scope rail - cool as well. Maybe there was already a hole in the back of the Sterling from the previous conversion, thus just to add a scope rail and screw in there? The trigger guard/screen used connection photo is a bit stretched though.

BTW just realized it comes with 2 different scopes, look at the feet.

It looks like one of those who were made to be used in Tunisia - therefore, not a complete functioning Sterling. The scratches do not match wtac's "booth sale find" or the one sold at Christies in 2005.

btw. Jason Debord is also an old member here.

So, since this is legit. It's against the forum rules to post about active auctions and this thread should be deleted.

It's against the rules to post the link. It's not against the rules to discuss it.

Not true at all. Please read the guidelines before chiming in.

(iv) Please refrain from the discussion of live or pending auctions. Auctions for items of interest to the board should be discussed AFTER the auction has closed. In the event where you suspect an auction item (or seller) is fraudulent, posting is permitted as a warning to other members. Members can post their own auctions in the designated sales area.***

If you are discussing the validity of an auction item, then you can post a link.
But it is legit. So further discussion of the auction is against the board policy.

And where does it say the thread needs to be deleted? If it gets deleted the next member running into that auction may start yet another thread questioning its validity. This discussion needs to remain.

Where is this in the RPF guidelines?

I've seen pictures of this E-11 before and it seems legit IMHO! Besides the added replica parts of course...

Btw.: Can anyone copy those auction pictures in high resolution and send it to me, pretty please!? I can only take screenshots...

Is this an actual modded Sterling? The grip looks like metal, not the plastic/bakelite checkered style with the "Lock/Free" markings.

*edit* NM, read the description again. "Based On"...

I wouldn't worry about competition for this. Last time I looked it was already over $20,000 :wacko

and Reserve Not Met, at that...

Someone's gonna pay over $20K and trust a shipping option that only costs fifteen bucks? I pay that much you better hand deliver it to me.
