Scratchbuilt 1/2222 Star Destroyer Avenger

An amazing build! How many hours have you put into this?

Too many years, and not enough hours.

That's the best answer that I can give you SofaKing. This build was started February 2009 (posted on the RPF Sept. 2009). To be honest, I thought that it would be done by now.

Yea! I never finished my first attempt. The second took the best part of a year and a half because I just wasn't satisfied. I kept going all Lucas on it and retooling it!:rolleyes

I put some more work into the engine section over the Holidays. I built the secondary engine housings, did some work on the back end wall, and top/bottom angle areas. I have the structures and secondary engines taped in place. I also added the two walls and now I'll add the two structures on each end, then I can detail this area.

Your ISD is simply insane. It's one thing to scratch build one but to do it with your attention to detail is just true nirvana for fans of the ship. You have true talent sir and I imagine even though it's taken you years it will be immensely satisfying for years to come when your done. I love it. :)

Thanks Ben, I imagine that it will be, actually, the satisfaction is there in little amounts during the build process.

Egad, Scratchy, that "massive" SD is looking fantastic! Glad to see you're back at it!!!
