Pshaw, if you have a cool, futuristic Red Bull logo, I say go with it.

Otherwise, you have to develop an original logo that's equally cool or cooler.

Or, since you don't drink Red Bull, pick a company you do like. Say, Coke or Pepsi or Mountain Dew.

I just came across this thread, and my elation was mixed with sadness when I realized, getting nearer to the end of the thread that you haven't finished your ship yet, because now I'll have to wait alongside everyone else for you to complete it.

Definitely go with the red bull idea. It is an instantly recognizable brand (whether you drink it or not) and doesn't detract from the overall project at all I think. I also like the idea of Red Bull seeing this and wanting to throw money at you somehow to use it. thumbsup:thumbsup

If you look at English in 1011 and compare it to 2011, it's almost unrecognizable as the same language and there are even major character differences. I imagine that in 3011, it would be a similar thing.

Would Red Bull be around in a millennium? I doubt it. Even in settings with millennia of culture, where companies can last ages, very few of them last more than a few hundred years as is. It will probably be illegal by 2050, if it survives through reformulation, it might end up merged.

A soft drink for the 3,000's would be Slurm.

Though SmilingOtter is right. If there was any modern company that would sponsor this sort of thing, it is Red Bull.

First off, great progress on your build. I have the same chopper to cut my styrene bits with and it works great.

Your father couldn't be more correct, anyone can copy, but to be your self takes a lot of work.

Your build is without a doubt 100% you.:thumbsup Why not use the 3011 Red Bull design you created except add your own invented Company name to the design instead of Red Bull! ! ! !

That is of course as long as Red Bull hasn't offered to become your sponsor. In that case, take the money and run! ! ! ! !LOL

I have been watching this thing for a long while now and the only thing I was not 100% behind was the Red Bull aspect. Go with your gut. Either way this build is one of the most impressive things I have seen here.

By 3011AD, the only people that will know what a bull was will be agricultural historians, it'll have been renamed:

"Red Giant Gland Cloned And Modified To Yield As Much Taurine as Possible"

so you'd be better off coming up with your own brand.

Hey TNG,

When the build is complete, why don't you show us the logo in place via P.S. or something? If it is as cool as you are thinking it is, lets us see it and we can certainly chime in with a 'Yay' or 'Nay' vote.
But just limit the input to an up or down vote. because everyone, me included, will have their opinion of how to 'tweak' your design.

It's been an amazing build. Go with your own design and colours. Its harder tha using the red Bull colours and logo. You have the talent so let it free...Use the Force Dude.

I'd do your own design.

As you've said at the start of the thread your influences have come from a number of sources, but what you've created is unique to you. Stick to the same philosophy with the final paint scheme. I'm sure it will look as good as the rest of the build.

Can't wait to see it.

I think i have figured out the colours i want to use, now i just have to think about their location on the ship.​

As for a logo, still mulling over if i even need one now?​
