Scratch build TIE Pilot chest box WIP

Well I finally broke down and started my TIE Pilot costume. I decided to start with the chest box and build from there. This is 100% scratch built and with the exception of the greeblies which I will order from Elvis Trooper, I'm happy with it so far. Here are a few progress pics from my Sunday home alone.

I'm using the plans I found here on the RPF for the general shape and size. This may not be 100% screen accurate but it will suit my costume just fine. Please let me know what you think and I invite any suggestions you have.

Well I started the filler work today.

Tomorrow I fix some minor areas and it's off to primer.

Nice job, scratch build is a great way to go. I saw one of these recently and thought they could be made pretty easy. Are you planning on making the compad too?

I have a com pad in Photoshop as we speak and will be making it after I finish this.

This is the drawing that I used. I believe it was by Great Bizarro which was adaped from Bubba's Barnyard.
I'll be peping your TK chest and back next and then modifying thim for the right look.
