Well I finally broke down and started my TIE Pilot costume. I decided to start with the chest box and build from there. This is 100% scratch built and with the exception of the greeblies which I will order from Elvis Trooper, I'm happy with it so far. Here are a few progress pics from my Sunday home alone.

I'm using the plans I found here on the RPF for the general shape and size. This may not be 100% screen accurate but it will suit my costume just fine. Please let me know what you think and I invite any suggestions you have.

Thanks
Richard

Nice job, scratch build is a great way to go. I saw one of these recently and thought they could be made pretty easy. Are you planning on making the compad too?

Dont worry about the views, pretty typical around here lots of lookers

Thanks.

I have a com pad in Photoshop as we speak and will be making it after I finish this.

Excellent work so far. Do you have a helmet or plan to make or buy one? Also, for some reason I can't see the plans you used.
