Scratch build Indiana Jones gun

Here are the highlights of is my first attempt at a scratch build firearm. I chose the .45 Smith & Wesson M1917 with a 4 inch barrel as was used in the Raiders of the lost arc. A lot of details are absent and nothing moves, but it was a good build.

I think you did an excellent job. a couple of question's if I may. what did you cast it with? i'm thinking pewter. and how did you get the the great blue finish.

I used a Fastcast Polyurethane with aluminium filling. The finish is a mat black spay paint, lightly sanded. I covered the bright metal parts with a black leather dye that was applied and wiped off. This got covered with a gloss clear coat spray paint.
