Ayerghh! My eyes!

Nah, just kidding. But so *weird* the way it 'tickles' those different neurons... 'I suddenly felt a great disturbance...'

I think a more appropriate name would be "Blockade Eagle" or Tantive Eagle" since the design is less Millennium Falcon and more Tantive IV. Yes, I get that the Tantive design WAS the Falcon during pre-production, and that the design was revised because Lucas worried it was too similar to the Eagle, but there's virtually none of the trademark features from the actual Millennium Falcon in the Air Show design. It's fun to see a mash-up concept come to life, but I would've preferred the Air Show guys to make the McQuarrie pre-production Falcon/Tantive. But my opinion is no reflection on their awesome skills.

I really like the design. My only thought is that the center section of the canopy (roof) be a bit thinner side to side. Otherwise, great design!

The M-E does have the original cockpit design (with less windows) when the model was considered the Falcon- once that changed the cockpit was revised to the hammer head design. The Falcon Prototype was also much smaller (as is the M-E) with just a central corridor down it's length, when it became the Blockade Runner they up sized the ship drastically.

No, I'm aware of the M-F's design history, and really it was Colin Cantwell's physical prototype that most looked like the Eagle, but the overall design is more Tantive than M-F -- that's all I'm sayin'. I'm not knocking their design at all. Based on the name, a true "Millennium Eagle," IMHO, would work in the hamburger saucer shape. Anyone unaware of the M-F's design history would look at the Air Show design and think, "Why is it called the Millennium Eagle when it looks more like a mash-up of the Eagle and the Blockade Runner?"
