Scammer , recaster warning : latest alias Loganprops, recent alias Snikt Shop

image.jpgYeah he'll run with your money

Hi everyone. This is my first post, but I've been reading this thread and you guys are making me nervous. All I want to do is make some ray guns from various parts / objects. I'm not looking to copy anyone's design or anything like that. I guess my question is : how do you protect yourself? Take pictures of the whole build process? I'm just looking for a crash course in what NOT to do - before I post a single picture of anything I plan to do. If I wanted to sell something I made to get materials for other projects, I don't ever want any doubt that I spent a lot of time putting the thing together. Thanks in advance!

Don't be nervous. Just enjoyed creating your own prop. Take lots of wip (work in progress ) pictures. Share you work with a
thread. There is a lot of helpful peeps here to offer suggestions and tips. You can also watermark your pics, so that others can not steal them and claim as their own. Later, if there is any doubts, there is a lot of sharp eye people here and can distinguish between your work and other people's claims.

I dont usually post here but I did happen to look at this page last week https://www.facebook.com/loganprops
It is still very active and I KNOW he deleted every comment that was a customer reaching out for some contact and updates. I read a lot of them and now they are gone.

That has been his typical method:
1) after you commission / buy a prop; there is some pics (new, old,?) of the progress and quick correspondences.
2) after a while , the pics and emails slow to a trickle.
3) after the 45? days has lapse on the paypal payment (never send $ as gift ! ) ; you are block from: email, Fb and instagram.

I was informed that if anyone wants to ask about any purchase or updates about your orders with "Loganprops, "jim Logan"...; that he might be appearing at the
Wizard World Sacramento Comic Con March 7,8,9.

From Drayo a while back...
(He posted back on page 37.)

im still waiting on the item he owes me. Supposed to be mailed out today or tomorrow he said...so we will see. He's still selling and people are still buying right now. He just seems to be out attending to many events to be dedicated to fulfilling these orders. I've had to stay on him hard about getting mine finished in time, email and messaging on Facebook. I've even started posting on his Facebook pages (he's got three that I know of) trying to keep him on his toes. He's selling raw casts right now with I think nine helms to choose from, working on his own projects and such. I have his phone number so will end up calling him tomorrow if I don't get notice that my item has been shipped. As for prosecuting, I first have to notify store envy which is who I handled transaction through. Then I can call his local police department to make them aware of the situation. As I understand it they've had numerous reports about him and I'll see if they want to do anything. If not ill handle it on the federal level. If all of us get together and get everyone's names and monetary amounts owed, along with your email receipts or proof that you have paid, we can get a case going that's well into the thousands of dollars. Thousands of dollars taken over the Internet without compensating the customer is Internet fraud and that is a felony. I would also check with your local police department and see what there laws are on Internet fraud in your county/state and see if you can do something there.
i don't mind leading the fight to get everyone's items or refunds but I'll need names and monetary amounts and receipts so that we have a solid case that will raise some eyebrows when I presented. You guys can email me anytime at (PM him, I'm not posting his email) with your info if you want to help get this resolved.

So, he didn't come through on a Heroes for Hire sale, and finally, after a zillion accusations and complaints, he's been removed from the group. Small victories.

About time,

Here is a paste from the group.
Still a lot of victims posting comments.

"From group: Heroes For Hire? No, Costumes For Sale!

Announcement: Many of you know Jim Logan. Despite a soiled reputation, the admins here gave him the benefit of the doubt and agreed to allow him to join our page, limiting his sales to ready-to-ship items. He was also warned that if he failed to deliver one item as promised that he would be removed. For several months we kept an eye on the situation and many members had successful transactions with him. However, yesterday it was brought to our attention that he failed to deliver an item was sold through our page. I confronted him about it and he refused to give a refund, therefore Jim Logan (Snikt Shop) has been removed from this page.

On a related note, many of the people who had dealings with Jim in the past have campaigned, complained and grumbled against Jim's presence on this page. The admins feel that we have applied our rules evenly and fairly to every person. Our goal is to make this page a fun, enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Disrespecting or expressing public distrust in our admins takes the fun out of it, and is unacceptable. Please know that this kind of behavior isn't tolerated and will result in removal from the group.

Thanks for your support."

He can only walk the straight path for a few weeks and always ends up showing his true colors in the end.

So basically, the admins for HfH know they look like idiots now, and they want to threaten everyone who wants to say "Told you so!" That must be part of the 'fun' they think their page has.

So glad I left that group.

Yep.... covering their butts as they know there will be people who slam them for their decision making. Thanks to their earlier choice to allow Jim Logan to be a part of that "FUN" community, someone has now been scammed and is out of money. And that is a DIRECT result of THEIR decision making. Hope they are proud to be a part of the reason this scam has happened.

Looks like his "girl friend" is gone also. 'Bout time. To quote Serenity "If your quarry goes to ground, leave no ground to go to." By making sure others are aware of his actions he will lose more and more outlets to scam, till one day he is left with no other places to turn.
