I am relatively new to these boards, well Ive been a lurker for most of the time and finally decided to make an account.
Anyhoo
I have read this thread....all 40 pages of it and wow. I agree that people need to be warned before going to people like this and not blindly go in like some of his supporters keep pushing. Customers SHOULD know what they are getting themselves into and that there is a chance that they can get shafted by a seller of goods. Especially when you are talking a lot of money, we all are not rich and I know many of us cant just burn a couple hundred and just turn the other cheek. Its just like when most of us bid on items on Ebay, whats the first thing most people look at? I know I look at the seller's rating. I want to know if the seller is good on his or her word or if there is a chance the seller has shady practices.
It seems like this propmaker thrives on places where HE can control the information (such as Facebook), places where he can ignore and hide any negative feedback. That, right there is one reason I will not purchase from this individual. I dont care his skill, if he is willing to brush the negative under the rug and hide it, then I, for one, do not want to deal with him. If he is as passionate in propmaking as he claims, then why hasnt he come to defend himself? All I saw were others comming to his 'aide' but the propmaker himself did not even try to defend himself against the accusations. Oh and no, claiming the other person is a liar doesnt count. If a customer was complaining that he was taking their money and not providing product and he claims otherwise...where is the proof? Show us the shipping receipts, show us proof to the contrary. Sadly, he has done none of that here. As for the recasting is concerned, his so called 'proof' is very, very weak. I may not be a master prop maker but even I cant see how he went from Home Depot bucket and light cover to suddenly a finished product with nothing in between. Not to mention he claims to do that for every bucket he sells? I dont buy it, try harder next time.
In the end, the Customer needs to be informed with who they are dealing with, the good AND the bad.
