Yeah, his email account is closed and his website is down
I think he is just gonna "take the money and run"
What really bugs me is that I didn't pay him to make a bust, I had the bust already. I paid him to finish it and a set of hands also. So I'm out the bust, the hands and the money
I would really like to see this guy banned.

I just don't understand what motivates an artist to steal someone's bust. The guy had talent and could have done well here . All he had to do was ship the thing back to Capt. Superman.

I'm gutted to see this and incredibly sorry too, I actually know Darren Harvey personally and I'm embarrassed to see what he's done to you and the other members here.
I'm just sorry as I can't help Daz put his hand in his pocket to give you back what he owes.
It's this kind of thing that really doesn't help the prop community.
I'm sorry to see you at such a loss, it's disgusting behaviour from Darren.

He seemed like a stand up guy and I knew he had come through for others in the past so I thought it was a safe transaction
I really believe he set out to do the right thing and probably got in a pickle and decided to bail out and run with the money.
It's just a shame, because I had the bust in hand and was choosing between two people in who should finish it. Obviously I wish I had gone the other direction.
It is what it is though... Everyone gets scammed in this game at some point.

I can understand, although not excuse, running away with the money but why not just send the bust back to you? Could you not ask someone who knows him to ask for it back and then post it on to you?

I found him on Facebook and messaged him. He blocked me from seeing his profile and sending him messages... His intentions are very clear

Well Robosteve mentioned that he knew him so maybe he might be willing to pop around and collect it if they are friends.

I also removed Darren's link to his website from my website. Wasn't cool he did this and I won't support someone like that. He had said his website would be back up and running soon, but it won't be on my page.

I actually sent him quite a stern message last night to tell that refunding you and returning the goods was the best thing to do right now to get this all cleared up and he's as good as lied to me and practically said I've got my wires crossed.
The problem with Darren that come more and more clear is he's a compulsive liar!
I won't give up on this though and I'll keep on pushing.

Robosteve thanks for your help. Darren also owes me a Thor and Captain America bust. I agree with you with all the emails he sent to me he is definitely a compulsive Liar!

Ok, I can't promise I can get anything back for you but if I can lean on him it may just push things in the right direction.
Can I ask those of you that he owes to post here and let me know exactly what you've paid him in total and what he owes.
So actualy items and money spent.
That will help me get a clear picture.
I think it's worth just getting Darren to do something about this rather than letting it be left to never be sorted out.
