My project is on hold due to a vacation last week, 1/2 days off from school for the kids this week and our house getting new windows next week.

After that, I have 1 week and then spring break. It makes such a mess when I work, I can't have things sitting out to work on it in bits and pieces, so I had to pack everything away.

On another note - my 11 year old saw the description of the new AOTC show describing Padme investigating a mysterious death of a senator and got this wide-eyed look with a bit of sadness and said, "Mommy, it's Satine..."

I sure hope he's wrong.

Well, iTunes put the episode up early and the name of the dead Senator is in the description, so if you want to know if he's right or not all you have to do is go look.

Thanks for that, but we spent some time googling and using the search on the itunes site and couldn't find them... I've never watched videos on itunes so I have no clue what I'm doing. :lol

They actually took it down since it went up a week early. I wish I had grabbed it while it was up. If you want to know if it was her or not, let me know and I'll tell you. (again, didn't watch it, but it had the name of the person who Padme was investigating the death of in the episode's description.)

I thought it was about time I added some updates. This is going very slowly, but it's going.

I have the first layer of the costume done, which is basically a black turtleneck I've added some of the lilac colored pieces to rather than make separates. The lilac color looks rather pink in the photos, but it's more muted. Even so, I may put all of it in a quick blue dip (testing first on scraps, of course).

Next is the muslin pattern for the turquoise layer. Right now I'm working out how to get the skirt part to flare up at the bottom before I start cutting my fabric.

And I've started working on the bracers (not likely armor, but I'm calling them that for lack of a better word) and have the outer parts done.

Nothing yet and having second thoughts about walking around with this headdress on. In the mall. That's the only place I could wear this costume with our lifestyle right now because we don't go to conventions.

I was so excited when I started and had all these big plans for my family members and I to do these costumes... now my son doesn't want to do Anakin and my niece is thinking something else instead of Ahsoka.

It's so much work... is it worth it for one night? At one point in my life it was, now, I just don't know.

I understand about having to decide how to allocate your time. Hopefully you'll get an opportunity to make this at some point, because it would be wonderful to see.

Well, I came up with another costume set that would be comfortable and easy for my husband and I on the mall walk with my kids.

But after seeing all the photos from Comic Con I was inspired again... I just want to find a good place to wear it. :unsure Maybe I'll have to make plans for Philcon.

I was just coming to check up on this too... I'm finishing up my Vizsla this week and have been Satine hunting!

Where will you be in it? Not sure we could meet up, but who knows.

I can't believe I actually forgot I had gotten so far on this costume and posted about it! I was just searching for Satine photos, thinking about making one after I FINALLY got to watch the Clone Wars on Disney+ and I saw my face on a costume. LOL So funny. 10 years later... A lot has happened.
