Satine Kryze : Star Wars Clone Wars

I haven't done a costume for myself in years, but this past Halloween I really missed dressing up with the kids. I didn't want to make something just to make something, I wanted to find something that struck me as something we could do as a group.

I think I found the costume. Not only is the duchess a cool character, and fairly normal looking (my kids told me I could NOT do Ventress :lol) but she's BLOND, and has had a relationship with Obi-wan. Since my husband makes an incredible Obi-wan, the two of us dressing up together would be really fun. And I'd get to make the Obi-wan armor for him!

Now, which of her costumes to do... I REALLY wish they'd put her in armor, but the whole pacifist thing might nix that possibility.

I like this one because of the ease of wearing it, and for reference, here's a picture of me too:

I don't like the formal gown... I'm just not into the big headdress thing, but it would be more recognizable. I'll probably decide after watching all three episodes with her in them.

I like the formal blue gown. More recognizable. Besides, it's more of a challenge.

I'm with James here, the blue dress with the headress is much more recognizable than her other outfit.

For a Pacifist she defended herself pretty well! I got a feeling that she will be fighting again, btw you are a dead ringer, you should go for it. Good luck. She also rides a speeder bike like a pro.

You would totally rock this! I was just thinking how cool it would be to do her formal outfit while watching the episode. It is the more recognizable and probably the most fun to make.

Of course, the storyline isn't over. Hang on for a couple more weeks and there might be an even cooler outfit.

HAHA! That is a perfect costume for you Guri! You look as close as one could to that character/characateur.

Meaning you dont look like the blocky CGI but it looks like someone animated your face in that fashion!

And I know you got da skillz to make the dress!

Can't wait to see this! actually just watching the mandalore episode now! (having to leave in the middle of it, but what an awesome ep!)

I watched with my kids at dinner last night and couldn't tell if she had boots on or not in the moon scenes. The kids were too into it to stop it and take notes. They are really happy about me doing this costume, though, and seeing their dad as Obi-wan in armor.

Agreed. It was his character in this series that compelled me to take on the costume. Never been interested in doing the character before, but the look is so much more interesting than the standard movie era karate gis. I think the concept artists really dropped the ball on that one in the PT, but whoever they have on this series has a really great sense of style. Plo Kloon is one of the best examples of this. Just look up some pictures of him from the PT and TCW. It goes from LAME!, Don't care, to cool frakkin alien Jedi dude. (yes, I just used a BSG reference to talk about Star Wars)

Watched the rest of the ep late last night, yes Guri CW obi rocks! As do most of the characters and stories!

Imagine if GL had let this team of people produce these shows BEFORE the PT! Then the movies followed that formula! :cry It coulda been awesome!

Right! hehe. I'm thinking ankle boots with purple (? color is hard to tell if it's just the lights or not) tights pulled up over the knee and a fabric turn down. There's no way I'll find boots THAT tight and be able to walk in them. :confused

I know most with an opinion are saying the formal gown, but I have to go with what I like more and right now I am leaning towards the informal. But, final decision only AFTER all three eps.

If you're going with ankle boots, you might try to find the tights first and then see if you can find dyeable boots you can color match.
