Just what the title says... I was thinking it would be pretty fun to have one. I never tried to customize an airsoft pistol and wondered how possible this might be?

Difficult, but doable I'd say. Maybe you could modify the airsoft components of a colt 25.?. You'd just have to find a place to "hide" the magazine. Good idea though :thumbsup I might try that someday.

Is Rylo the one who made the outstanding kit in aluminum that I see every now and then?
Maybe he or someone has some good scaled drawings you can use to build this around an existing airsoft frame?

Since seeing a few recent threads on the DS Gun I really want one now and may try to build it, if I can't find one I can afford.

That aluminum kit is amazing. Good luck with the Airsoft version.
I don't know enough about them to suggest a starting point (airsoft, I mean)
Has anyone taken the airsoft guts out and tried putting them into a prop?

Hi all.

The airsoft DS gun version is a good idea....the problem is that the DS gun is a "small body" gun...It means that the airsoft version could only be spring loaded or gaz loaded. There isn't the place for an electrical version (you need the motor or engine, the battery, hop up system and the pellets mag).

So, for a spring loaded version...no problem. The pellets mag would take place in the handle of the gun (that's the place in general for this piece ...), the nozzle would be fixed with the pistol body and all the barrel body and rear gaz tank would be the home for the spring system. You should have to pull back the body and tank to arm the gun to fire a pellet....Not easy with my poor english to explain that ;-)

For a gaz loaded version, even more simple (....). The rear gaz tank would be the valve system to charge the gun with gaz. The pellets mag is still in the handle of the gun and after that, you just have to "introduce" the system of a gaz airsoft gun in the DS gun....easy no ???

I let you work on this...just tell me when the prototype is ready...

I'll bet you could work the magazine into the handle.
I've torn some airsofts apart and as long as you keep the barrel and mechanisms working...

Might have to make the cocking mechanism a slide and just make the whole top barrel cock back...

No, someone a few years ago came up with one that was based on the book descriptions. It didn't look anything like the film/TV gun, more like a true western six shooter.

I think the six shooter blueprint was done by Rick Ross. I think he had it on his website at one time.
