Gone but not forgotten.
Has anyone been able to ID these parts yet? I've looked thru about 7 years worth of posts! This is how my eyes feel right now! :eek

The wheel isnt a tank part bud, think two wheels, if i recall right, its from a Tamiya Kawasaki 1300 kit as i found it used on another ILM model.

1/6 Tamiya Kawasaki 1300b tourer, its the brake disc, as i said, id never ID'd it for the crawler, but found it used on other ILM builds, quite a pricey and rarer kit now too!

Which one do you think is a Kawasaki part? The outer bit in the upper part of the picture or are both from the Kawasaki (possibly)? Thanks!

As it goes, i do recall, a conversation with a friend, on another Kawasaki of ANH era, differing in scale slightly, and sadly very rare, not sure if there is a chance it could be this kit, it was 1/8 scale i believe....kinda fuzzy, but there was at least one other Kawasaki kit back then.

The Bike donates the brake disc inside the Saturn V dome i believe, im no crawler expert buddy sadly, the side where you can see said brake disc, has the upper dome missing, im sure there is one in the "complete" side too!

I don't think they are both made of the same parts, other than the S5 parts. The lower wheel looks to have a larger center hub than the upper wheel. But I do see the "disk brake" in the upper.

Edit- Took too long to type:)

What was there before that part? Was there another cover like the lower one?

The lower one looks like a hubcap off a 1/12 scale Tamiya car. Looks like a single piece, and nothing under it.

Lower wheel inner is a tank, for sure...Panther maybe? Not sure on those domes though.
Cheers for that bro, wasnt sure about what the other "stack" included :lol

Nah, dont think so, at 1/12 that wouldnt be possible in my mind, and F1 rim is a LOT smaller than the part your seeing.....one thought was Kettenkrad but no joy...it does appear toothed though?

Perhaps its a dome much like the antenna on the falcon with the notches cut around with a nibbler?

I was going to say it does look cut J, cant think of anything off the top of my head with this kind of shape, the styrene, does look "nibbled" in a way?

Don't know if this help, but hopefully so...
