A through tack cloth wipe down after priming is your friend with any of the super high gloss finishes
You're not wrong, but in this case, each of the issues were either some tiny speck of fluff finding its way into my spray booth and onto the wet paint, or a tinier speck of gunk that I failed to clean out of my spray gun spluttering its way into the layer somewhere.
In any case, the finished pieces worked out fine. I only just now realized that I never shared any of the finished pics in the thread. Here's a few:
