Samurai Futaba.......anyone........anyone???

So, since Wild Bill Kelso from 1941 was so much fun, I decided to continue on with the Belushi costume track. Next up, Samurai Futaba from SNL. From the screen captures, it looks like he wears a couple of different versions (most likely due to Belushi's weight change)??? I've identified a robe and wig (I'm pretty much bald). I have the sword and it looks like the pants (or lack of them) and shoes can change from tennis shoes to actual sandals. The sashes are going to have to be just fabric store purchases. Anyone ever done this costume before? If so, pictures please!

Sincerely,

Movado

I used to wear some stuff like that on occasion when I lived in Japan. Mostly at festival time, etc.

Traditional footwear would be something like black tabi socks. And for sandals Zori, or Waraji sandals. Geta sandals in the winter. Actually you can make Waraji easy and cheap.
